This album was my first official release in 2002. Originally recorded as demos for a band I was going to record an album with, the recordings started getting passed around and eventually were released independently instead of the full band version.

Jack's Basement was literally recorded in the basement of Jack DIxey in Mansfield, Ohio in a house venue called Dixey City Limits. I called a friend who I had met at an event there and we recorded it one summer afternoon for the cost of a pizza.

The first track is Lilac Wine as a tribute to Nina Simone. News of Simone's death reached us just before recording and the song was not originally intended to be recorded.

There have been two versions of this album floating around for years. For the first time, the tracks "The Time Between All Time" and "Natalie" are appearing together in one version.
