After almost a decade of bad band breakups and some failed attempts at solo albums, I started looking for the right producer for a very special group of songs that had recently emerged. Many of them came out of a spiritual awakening and were greatly influenced by a trip to Peru working with Ayahuasca in the jungle for two weeks.

One afternoon, I sat down to watch the Movie Nebraska and was immediately taken with the film's score. I looked up the composer, Mark Orton, and sent out an email inquiring about the possibility of working together on this new album.

A few days later, Mark and I were on the phone making arrangements and, at Mark's suggestion, I called Grammy winning Woodstock producer, Danny Blume, and we agreed to make the album together with an all star lineup of musicians.

Two years later the album was finally finished and released.
